EMI calculator and Loan calculator : An xls attached to help you


This time I am attaching an xls file that will help you to find the EMIs of your loan and will help you to get an idea about how your bank is calculating the EMIs and how much principal repayment is done every month.  This will also help you to calculate the total interest and principal repayment for a financial year, that will help you to declare the Tax in case of Home Loans. This calculator is using the PMT excel formula to find the EMI.

The xls file has two sheets :

  1. EMI Calculator –> This sheet will help you to calculate the EMIs if you enter the Loan amount, Loan tenure in years and Interest Rate.
  2. EquiDivided_Principal –> This sheet will help you to calculate the monthly payments if your bank is not following the EMI approach and is using the equi divided principal approach for the loan. Here also you need to enter the Loan amount, Loan tenure in years and Interest Rate to get the details.

    The calculator you suggested is the offline calculator and need the MS Excel for calculations. What will a person do, who does not have MS Excel? Provide a good Online EMI calculator for them as an exception.

ATG CA - BCC home screen : how to add a new link

          Activity source is the property which controls the links on the left nav on the BCC home screen. All activity sources are registered with the ActivityManager component at /atg/bizui/activity/ActivityManager . When rendering the BCC home page, the ActivityManager cycles through all the registered ActivitySource components and displays left navigation links for each of them on the BCC home page. ATG search and Monitoring the request and response

To get an idea of the SearchEngineActivity logs, please read the blog :  http://tips4ufromsony.blogspot.com/2012/01/atg-search-and-search-engine-activity.html Other than using the SearchEngineActivity logs, we could monitor the search engine request/reponse  by enabling the monitoring in the SearchEngineService component @ /dyn/admin/nucleus/atg/search/routing/SearchEngineService. Once you enable this "monitoringEnabled", each request/response and the response time like last response time and average response time can be found @ SearchEngineService component. After you send a request to the search engine, just refresh the SearchEngineService component and you could see that the total command count will be incremented by one and the response time also get updated. If you click this total command count, a new window will be opened with the request and response details.
